Wavemakers

Program Summary

Our flagship program, WaveMakers offers students throughout the Caribbean, a zero-cost opportunity to immerse themselves in marine and environmental science through experiential education. This program has been thoughtfully designed to encourage children to explore their outdoor surroundings and engage with the environment through an educational framework underpinned by science. Students will gain valuable knowledge of the scientific method, including biological survey protocols and how to interpret those data into conservation inspired outcomes, including measuring biodiversity, ecosystem health, species identification and scientific communication.

This program also fosters cultural exchange among students. By bringing together young people from various backgrounds, it creates a rich learning experience that transcends any academic border. These exchanges not only enhance the participants' understanding of environmental issues but also build connections and friendships that can last a lifetime. WaveMakers is not just an educational program; it's a platform for promoting a deeper appreciation for nature and the science we use to understand it.
