Stan Burnside grew up in Nassau, The Bahamas and received his BSc in Biochemistry form Ithaca College, New York. Upon graduation Stan moved to Arkansas to help rescue lions, tigers and bears from neglectful and abusive homes. After a year of work and over 40 animals rescued Stan returned to The Bahamas to work on Disney's Castaway Cay as their aquarist, responsible for a range of marine creatures including stingrays . For the past three years he has been working with the Cape Eleuthera Island School as Director of the Gap Year Program and most recently Outreach Manager, designing a mentorship program for young men of south Eleuthera. Stan serves on the CORE board of directors, where he continues his passion in the education and personal development of local students.
